Eduardo Blanes Montes is the founder of EBM Organizational Solutions, LLC. He is a licensed Industrial Psychologist since 2003 and an Organizational Consultant with solid experience with world class organizations in the area of Human Resources. His knowledge ranges in areas such as: training, recruitment, organizational development, employee relations, conflict management, organizational effectiveness, change management, team/group dynamics, among others. His professional background includes industries such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, beverage, service companies, transportation, construction and management consulting. His roles as an internal consultant in various companies that he worked on, rounded his knowledge and understanding of the actions and attitudes demonstrated by employees at all hierarchical levels. This helped him in developing expertise areas such as: Organizational Behavior(OB), organizational communication, workplace climate, among others.
Eduardo completed his Ph.D. in Industrial Psychology from Carlos Albizu University (San Juan campus) and his dissertation was a pioneer study which helped understand the realities and challenges of all public and private layoff survivors in Puerto Rico. He also finished his M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a minor in Organizational Development and Consultation from the University of New Haven, Connecticut. He completed his BA in Psychology from Universidad Sagrado Corazón in Santurce, PR. Eduardo was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is bilingual and bi-cultural having worked in both US and local job markets.
His role as a corporate trainer/consultant is a passion that is very difficult to hide from him. He truly thinks that “success is one step behind passion and a job done with passion is a job filled with success”, and that is exactly what Eduardo offers to his clients. He firmly believes that continuous education and individual, professional and organizational development opportunities are key factors in maintaining a committed and engaged workforce. Eduardo worked for several years as a Sr. Organizational Consultant and Trainer on major outplacement and workforce reduction projects as well as conducting personal resiliency and change management training for several multinational companies. He has an ample background in helping people in career planning, career decision making, resume preparation, job search marketing, interviewing skills, and individual coaching. He has held other positions such as: HR Generalist, Employee Relations Specialist, Recruitment Consultant, among others.
Since 2005, Eduardo has distinguished himself as a publisher and consistent contributor of numerous articles in both local and U.S. newspapers. These articles covered topics associated with workplace environment, organizational climate and other general corporate challenges and realities.
In reference to his public speaking and academic achievements, Eduardo has been invited in several occasions to participate as a guest speaker and special guest in graduate programs from local universities to discuss about current topics in Organizational Psychology and other actual workplace scenarios. Eduardo has also served as an academic research contributor in alliance with other I/O psychology professionals and colleagues.
